Our 2 days 1 night Overnight Camping Safari stays in Hwange national park is a practical way of experiencing Hwange National Park and offers a magnificent opportunity for sittings for Lions, cheetah, and Leopards also Hwange full day safari trips from Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park departs daily, please note that night game drives are done outside the National Park, and the park closes at 18H00 and opens 06H00. Also note that for those staying in Livingstone Zambia side we are also able to arrange the pick up from the Zambia Hotels, we can pick you up from Livingstone, Zambia, and or Kasane, Botswana hotels.

The elephant population in Hwange is one of the largest in the world. The number of elephants congregating around the waterholes at the end of the Dry season is a sight to behold. All of the Big Five are present and easily spotted, except the white rhino or the black rhino, which is shy and tends to stick to the bushes.

Animals you might come across in the national park are Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, Giraffes, zebras, Antelope of all kinds, Baboons, Ostriches, Warthogs, Hippos, Crocodiles .and beautiful bird life. Etc.

Best Time for Wildlife Viewing

The middle and end of the Dry season (from July to October) is the best time for wildlife viewing in the park. Wildlife is easier to spot because the vegetation is thinner and animals gather around predictable water sources. At this time, it is quite common to see a large variety of animals drinking at the artificial waterholes, and there is always a chance to witness a kill.

Day 1 Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park

Clients are picked up from their respective hotels at 6.30 am; they may request packed breakfast from their hotel. The drive to and from Victoria Falls is approx. 190km one way, passing through the villages and Hwange town. Check-in at Hwange Safari Lodge or a similar lodge, around 09h00 you are transferred into our Open 4 X 4 Game Drive vehicles and do the mid-morning game drive and then break for lunch inside the Hwange National Park. Drives are done along the water Holes and deep into the park where a lot of game is seen including lions and herds of elephants. On this drive, clients would enjoy the company of our experienced and informative guides.

Our driver-guide always looks for the best spot to stop and have your packed lunches that are around 13h00, After Lunch, around 14h00 we continue with your drives deeper into Hwange National Park for more safari game drive, and this time we try a different route, return to the campsite around 18:00hrs and finish the day with dinner at the camp prepared by your guides, Stories around the campfire and star gazing make your day complete before you settle for the night on our dome twin sharing tents, you will use the public ablution with hot water and bath showers nearby.

Day 2 Hwange National Park to Victoria Falls

On this last day you are woken up at dawn once again to search for the Savannah and forest for predators and see the sunrise, on this day we will do our activities with a difference, get into our game drive vehicles and return for breakfast and then after breakfast, we break the camp pack our tents and around 10H00 we leave for Victoria Falls.
